Using advanced micro-processor
technology, the DriveRight 600E constantly monitors your vehicle’s
speed, sending data to an interactive on-board LCD display console.
Drivers can see their driving performance in real time. Console
displays time, distance, top speed, and average speed.
For many companies, fitting a vehicle
tracking and accident data system is becoming a mandatory
requirement, insisted upon by QHSE departments globally.
DriveRight
in-vehicle monitoring systems can provide just the sort of data they
require, and indeed several large international companies have
specified DriveRight as their choice for all sub-contractors and
companies undertaking work on their sites and facilities.
DriveRight vehicle monitors have
been evaluated and approved by the US Air Force (under the MEEP
evaluation and testing program), one of the most comprehensive
testing procedures in the world.
Audible
alarms with user-settable limits for speed, acceleration, and
deceleration give instant feedback to drivers. Automatically creates
an accident log whenever there is a sudden deceleration.
Prevents
unauthorized changes to data or thresholds, monitors multiple
drivers through ID codes, protects data, and allows monitoring of
brake lights, seatbelts, power take off switch, headlights.
Enough
memory for 600 trips and 10 accident logs.
Add our Fleet Management
Software to track and compare drivers, vehicles, and
departments, helping you assess performance, improve safety, and
lower costs—all with a minimum of effort.

Dependent on your
vehicle type and intended use, one of the following types of
installation will suit your needs best.
-
DriveRight 600E VSS.
The best fitting option. For vehicles with electronic speed
sensors (VSS). Includes most 1994 and later model-years, and
earlier model-years with cruise control options. Since there are
no exposed fixings, or moving parts, this method works
especially well for off-road, and extreme terrain vehicles
subject to shock or impacts under the vehicle chassis.
-
DriveRight 600E GD. The universal fitting option. Mounts on the vehicle's driveshaft or CV
joint. General-duty model for most cars, light-duty vans, and
pickup trucks. The GD fitting kit is very adaptable and has also
been fitted to such vehicles as motorcycles, snowmobiles, road
rollers, etc.
-
DriveRight 600E HD. Essentially the same as the GD kit
above, but features an upgraded universal sensor mounting kit
that uses stainless steel parts and longer wires for trucks,
buses, and off-road vehicles.
-
DriveRight 600E OBD
For vehicles with an on-board diagnostic
(OBDII) port. For most 1996 and later models in USA and Canada.

GPS Module |

Wireless Download |
 |
| |
The optional
GPS Module for DriveRight 600E
or DriveRight 600 gives you additional details on where your vehicle's been and how
it's been driven (Plug-and-Play module)
With the GPS module, you can see latitude, longitude, and current
heading right on the DriveRight display console, helping you pinpoint your
exact location at any time.
Choose a location sampling interval from 5 seconds to 10 minutes. At
a one-minute interval, you'll be able to log up to 44 hours of GPS
data.
Later,
download the data - along
with the data on speed, time, distance, and driving performance
collected by the DriveRight 600E - to our
Fleet Management Software.
Export it to a GPS mapping program
such as Microsoft's MapPoint (example at right) or Streets and Trips
(not included), and you'll be able to create a map of the route
taken as well as the location of each start and stop.
Since you'll have data on speed as well as location, you'll be able
to judge whether or not your driver was driving appropriately for
each roadway. In the case of an accident, you'll be able to see the
exact location.
And, if (for instance) you've chosen to monitor the vehicle's brake
lights using one of DriveRight's digital inputs, you'll know if and
when the driver applied the brakes.
Includes GPS module, installation hardware, and cable for connecting
to DriveRight 600E or DriveRight 600 (you need to specify which
model). |

Wireless Download
is a new, short-range automated radio download system for standard
parking lot based fleets (Plug-and-Play modules)
Working at up to 200m distance from the
base station, it is just the answer for some download situations.
No
more struggling out to vehicles in the rain with a precious laptop,
or drivers having to remember to disconnect their DriveRight and
take it into the office each week.
Being fully automatic, with no
ongoing charges, it is a cost-effective way to ensure those
downloads are never forgotten again, and saves staff time too.
More details are on our
Downloads and Manuals
page and also in the
new DriveRight Catalogue
Oh, by the way, please do not confuse the
DriveRight Wireless products (short range) with the
StreamLine products (GSM/GPRS).

DriveRight 600E -v-
DriveRight 600 |
 |
| |
The DriveRight 600 is
no longer available. Instead we now only ship the new DriveRight
600E.
In summary, here are the changes and improvements:
- The DriveRight 600E's tamper
proofing has been improved.
- The reboot has been removed. To
waken up the DriveRight 600E in case it's locked you have to
take out and put back the 3V battery.
- A capacitor (backup battery) is
added to the DriveRight 600E - not a full backup, but still
enough to keep date and time in the memory for up to 15 minutes
which is enough to replace the 3V battery.
- The Limits and Settings Screen
has been removed. These are now controlled by the software only.
- The DriveRight 600E does not
have the odometer.
- The DriveRight 600E supports
"SmartCard Login Only", so the driver ID cannot be changed
manually.
- Finally the DriveRight 600E has
improved year detection on the download.
Please Note:
- The new DriveRight 600E GPS
Module, DriveRight 600E Wireless On-board Module and of course
the DriveRight 600E Interface Module can only be connected to
the DriveRight 600E
- These new products cannot be
used with the old DriveRight 600
- Also, the previous DriveRight
600 GPS Module cannot be connected to the new DriveRight 600E
- Users of Software versions 2.x
will still be able to communicate with the new DriveRight 600E
but the units will show as type DriveRight 600
- Users of Software versions 3.x
need to upgrade to at least version 3.6.0 to have full
functionality with the DriveRight 600E
