StreamLine: the ultimate
solution! |
 |
| |
Using StreamLine, it
now is very easy to download data from your DriveRights! You never
have to take the DriveRight out of the vehicle, ever again. Data
from the DriveRights is downloaded by a mouse click and, on top of
that, all the settings can be managed over the Internet. All from
behind your desk, wherever your desk is!
But there is more! With the
StreamLine you (optionally) get all GPS data recorded in the
DriveRight but you also get live, real-time, location data over the
Internet. So if you want to know the position of a vehicle now, just
click and you'll know! And you still keep all the GPS history in
your DriveRight software, if you should need to refer to it later.
Plug and Play! Insert a standard
mobile phone SIM Card, simply connect the StreamLine to the
DriveRight wiring loom and you're ready to download data and to
manage the DriveRight settings! The DriveRight never has to leave
the vehicle again. If you want to take full advantage of the options
and features you have to find a good spot for the GPS antenna, which
requires some extra time of course.
StreamLine also offers you the option
to connect two extra digital outputs, for example to remotely unlock
a door, or switch a starter interrupter or on off, etc. All from
behind your desk by, for example, sending an SMS text message to the
StreamLine. |

Some of the features and
specifications |
 |
| |
StreamLine can be used
for the DriveRight 600 and the DriveRight Trip 500AL. All DriveRight
accessories connected to the DriveRight, like the DriveRight
SmartCard On-board Reader, can be used in combination with the
StreamLine.
StreamLine is based around a GSM/GPRS
module. The SIM-card must be obtained locally. The costs for
transmitting data depends on how often a DriveRight is downloaded.
One DriveRight 600 download is 64 Kb (GPS history included, if
activated) and only 8 Kb for a DriveRight Trip 500AL. You can be
sure to have all trip data at least every week, or even more often,
at a very low price.
A
high quality external GSM/GPRS aerial is included with every
StreamLine to make sure your StreamLine unit gets the best mobile
signal possible. The external aerial has
a 3m extension cable to ensure best positioning in your vehicle.
Maybe your vehicles are (sometimes)
used in areas with no GSM coverage. Don't worry. Once the vehicles
enter an area with coverage, trip data is automatically transmitted
and/or settings changed. By the way, you can also set the StreamLine
to download data only when the vehicle enters a pre-defined
geo-fenced zone.
StreamLine is available with or
without the GPS option. In addition, there are versions for
dual-band and tri-band GSM/GPRS operation. So you can have world
wide coverage! Satellite communication is currently under
development, and so is quad-band GSM. StreamLine has CE-approval.
If a DriveRight GPS Module is
installed already, you only need a basic StreamLine, without GPS
module. The GPS data from the DriveRight GPS Module is passed by the
StreamLine to the DriveRight so position is recorded as normal, but
real-time GPS tracking is not available in this case. For real-time
tracking you must use the StreamLine with in-built GPS module.
For the advanced users.....
StreamLine offers event based triggering. For example, if a door is
only allowed to be opened in one or more pre-defined geo-zones, just
program the StreamLine accordingly. If the driver is overspeeding,
or if the vehicle is leaving a certain geo-zone, or if the vehicle
is moving on unexpected hours, the StreamLine can send a message
(with GPS location of course) to the base or whatever is defined. |

Installation and
preparation |
 |
| |
StreamLine is a GSM/GPRS
module. Simply insert the SIM-card (must be obtained locally to
ensure compatibility with local mobile phone services).
DriveRight Fleet Management Software
version 3.5 or higher is needed. Click
here to get the
latest update, free of charge. Keep in mind that DriveRights must be
connected to the DriveRight Software first, to enter their initial
settings which is normal procedure, before they are installed in the
vehicle.
Using the StreamLine Desktop Kit, a
StreamLine can be connected to the PC to set it up. Not necessary in
most cases (as all settings can be changed through the Internet) but
for the advanced options or in case of large fleets it could be
helpful to define the settings before the StreamLine is installed in
a vehicle. Click for the

Plug and Play, almost. Connect the
StreamLine between the DriveRight and the DriveRight wiring loom,
connect and mount the GSM antenna and the GPS antenna (optional),
and substitute the fuse supplied with the StreamLine, and that's it.
If required, two digital outputs and a backup battery can be
connected. Additionally, the wiring loom offers a few spare
connectors: for future developments...!
